The safest financial data is data that was never collected. Quarterbird is designed to work without your bank credentials or a server-side copy of your records.
No bank passwords, ever
Quarterbird imports files you choose: CSV exports and statement rows. We never ask for, store or transmit your bank or payment-app login.
Your records stay on your phone
Transactions, rules, trips and your tax profile are stored on your device. We don't run a database of your finances.
Accountant links without a server
A shared report is encoded in the part of the link after the # sign. Browsers never send that part to a server, so the numbers reach your accountant without passing through us.
Payments handled by Apple
Subscriptions go through the App Store. We receive your subscription status from our billing provider, never your card number.
Location only when you ask
Mileage tracking uses location only while a trip you started is running, and only while the app is open.
Delete everything, instantly
Settings → Delete all my data removes your records from the app immediately. Export first if you'd like a copy; exports are always free.
Report a vulnerability
If you believe you've found a security issue in Quarterbird, email security@quarterbird.com with steps to reproduce. Please give us reasonable time to fix it before disclosing publicly. We won't pursue legal action against good-faith research.
