How can we help?

Answers to the most common questions, and a real way to reach us when they're not enough.

Getting started

How does Quarterbird work out my set-aside percentage?+

From your filing status, expected profit, any W-2 wages and withholding, and your state rate, using 2026 federal brackets, self-employment tax and the QBI deduction. Update these any time in Settings → Edit income.

Do I need to link my bank?+

No. Import CSV exports from the apps you're paid through instead. Bank linking, if we add it, will always be optional.

Importing transactions

Venmo+

In the Venmo app: Me → Settings → Statements (or venmo.com → Statements). Download a CSV and choose it in Quarterbird → Import.

Cash App+

Sign in at cash.app → Activity → Statements → Export CSV.

PayPal+

paypal.com → Activity → Statements → Activity download → CSV.

Stripe and Square+

Stripe: Dashboard → Payments → Export. Square: Dashboard → Transactions → Export → Transactions CSV.

QuickBooks Self-Employed+

Transactions → Export → CSV. Your Business/Personal tags and categories come with you.

A PDF bank statement+

Open the PDF, select the transaction rows, copy, and paste them into Import → Bank statement.

Quarterly payments

When are 2026 estimated taxes due?+

April 15, June 15 and September 15, 2026, and January 15, 2027. See our deadline guide for what each covers.

How do I pay?+

Tap Pay with IRS Direct Pay on the Home tab. Choose Estimated Tax and Form 1040-ES. There's no fee and no account needed.

Billing

When will I be charged?+

Only after your 14-day free trial, and only if you keep your subscription. We remind you 2 days before.

How do I cancel?+

In Quarterbird: Settings → Cancel subscription. It opens Apple's subscription page directly. You can also cancel in your iPhone's Settings → your name → Subscriptions.

Can I get a refund?+

Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. If something went wrong on our side, email us and we'll help.

Still stuck? Write to us.

Email support@quarterbird.com and tell us what you were trying to do. Please don't send full bank statements or your Social Security number.
